You asked a few questions so let me try and answer them here.
Is Malawi an area on the map where Village Drill would be appropriate?
The place in all reality is up to you, and Malawi sounds like as good a place as any. Really the question is where do you want to be and where do you feel you will be of the most help?

I still need to get my head around how a village drill would work. We have a trainer that will come to your drill sites for 20 days and train you for 1000 USD plus travel, food, and room. We have a PDF file that you can use to train with anytime. It walks you through finding water all the way to what to do after the well is installed and everything in between. So in short you wont have to figure things out on your own.

Purchase of the drill is easy – what about transportation?
The Village Drill will fit in the back of a small rented truck so you can transport it close to where you need it. Then the beauty of The Village Drill is the pieces are small enough and they can be carried by Villagers down a path to where you want drill

Operating teams / locality-drill hubs and drill hole maintenance? I have attached a file of what a successful village drill team looks like and how we suggest to help villages raise their own money to buy a well. It is the old adage, “teach a man how to fish feed him for a lifetime” idea. We want organisations we work with to educate the people on how the well makes them money by irrigating gardens and by freeing up their time to do other things. We encourage organisations to teach the villages how to install the pump and well so that they can do the maintenance locally when needed.This will also teach them how to solve other poverty issues when they learn that they can band together as a village and save money to solve problems.

It all needs to be costed out in a 5 year plan Can you help with the projections. Our goal is for this to become a sustainable business model that can bring a little money back to your organisation as you drill and install wells for a profit. These are some estimated costs that you can use to determine your 5 year plan.
